ABOUT THE AMI FOUNDATION

The AMI Foundation is a charitable organization that is dedicated to enhancing the level of healthcare for community residents by collaborating with local community groups to support programs that address critical health needs. Since its inception in 2003, the Foundation has provided over $1,000,000 to various charitable organizations throughout South Jersey and Central Jersey.

The AMI Foundation mission is to identify and develop opportunities to enhance the quality of life and improve the level of healthcare for community residents through education and programs directed at these goals, as well as through financial support of other charitable organizations with compatible missions.

Improving the level of healthcare for community residents

As one of the leading healthcare providers in the region, Atlantic Medical Imaging, through the AMI Foundation provides free or low cost healthcare to community residents. The Foundation partners along with the South Jersey Cancer Fund provides free PET/CT exams to patients with no insurance. Throughout the month of October, free screening mammograms are given to women 40+ that have no insurance. In 2004, the Foundation formed the William J. Reilly Coronary CTA Fund. This fund provides free or low cost Coronary CTA exams to patients at risk for heart disease, as well as free low dose CT lung screenings for high risk patients.

Saving Lives

With its advanced medical imaging capabilities, AMI is uniquely equipped to provide free and low cost healthcare screenings to disadvantaged and uninsured community residents. In 2012, the Foundation funded more than 2,000 free or low cost mammograms for uninsured or underinsured women over 40. Because mammograms are so vitally important to the early detection of breast cancer, the AMI Foundation is a flagship sponsor of the American Cancer Society’s Breast Cancer Awareness Walk.
